Chapter 13
In the villa’s main hall, Theodore leaned against the wall, a cigarette burning down to the filter between his fingers. Smoke curled around his face, veiling the storm within his eyes.
His parents sat on the couch, waiting anxiously. Although Theodore had said Caleb was not his biological son, Miranda still clung to a shred of hope. She insisted on a paternity test, and the results had disappointed her. Now, all her hopes were pinned on the child in Bianca’s womb.
After a long while, the assistant rushed in and handed Theodore a sealed document envelope. He took it with a blank expression but did not open it.
Miranda, unable to wait another second, snatched it from his hand. Her fingers trembled as she tore it open. The moment she saw the results, a sharp scream tore from her throat before her body crumpled to the floor.
The envelope hit the ground beside her as Edward hurried to catch her and rushed her to the hospital.
Theodore stood there, watching it all unfold like a circus show. He bent down, picked up the envelope, and headed to Bianca’s room.
Inside, Bianca was pacing in anxious circles. She was sure the child in her womb was Theodore’s, but the murderous fury in his eyes earlier made her blood run cold. The baby was her last resort, her only
protection.
She lowered her head, pressing a hand to her growing belly. “Sweetheart, my future is all on you. You’ve got to pull through for me, okay?”
The door clicked open.
Bianca immediately looked up. When she saw Theodore step in, face unnervingly calm, hope sparked
within her.
He must have forgiven her. He still cared about the baby. He was innocent, after all.
She forced her calm, pulling out a weak smile as her voice quivered. “Theo, I know I did wrong. I lost my mind, but that was because I loved you too much. I loved you to the point I went crazy. Let’s start over,
shall we? The three of us, together.”
Theodore did not respond. He simply held the envelope out to her.
Bianca eyed Theodore hesitantly, unease swirling over her like a tide. She took out the report with
trembling hands and flipped straight to the last page.
The next second, her face went devoid of color. Her knees gave out beneath her. The report drifted out of
her hands as she collapsed to the floor.
“Excluded as the biological father.”
These five words shattered her every hope
“No! lyxssible she shrieked. This report is fake! Theo, believe me! This baby is definitely yours!Ive
only ever slept with you! How could he not be yours!
She scrambled up and lunged for his arm. Then, let’s test again. This result is wrong?
Again? Theodore’s voice was icy cold. He looked down at her, his mouth curling into a merciless smile”
You could test it 100 times. It will come back the same.”
Bianca’s head snapped up eves locking onto the deep black of his gaze. A terrifying realization exploded
in her mind.
Her whole body went cold, and her lips trembled. “Theo… It was you? You tampered with it
Theodore did not deny it. Slowly, he stepped toward her, watching as the light in her eyes flickered with dread. The pressure in the room shifted. Bianca instinctively backed away until she hit the wall
Theodore reached out and grabbed her jaw with sudden force, jerking her head up
“Why?” She choked, tears streaming down her face from the pain.
“Why” he echoed. His voice was low, laced with a chill that went bone–deep.
His grip tightened. Bianca cried out in pain pure fear flooding her eyes.
“You thought you could use that bastard in your belly to get away with everything?” he hissed. “Let me
help you remember how you schemed to use a child that wasn’t even mine to deceive me again and
again. How you used him to push Clarisse to the edge.”
His other hand caressed her stomach. He was soft with his actions, but it sent a chill down her spine.
“You made her watch you move into our family. You and your bastard child, taking over everything that
once belonged to us.
“You stood by while my mother nearly killed her with peanut butter. You dragged her into that pool and accused her of pushing you in
“You taught that brat to lie, saying she pushed him. You made her kneel in front of everyone at the
hospital with a slap mark on her face!
With every word, his grip tightened around her jaw. Bianca felt as if she were being crushed. She could no longer form words and could only whimper from the pain.
For you and that bastard.” Theodore growled, his eyes filled with a hatred that could burn cities, “how much did Clarisse suffer? How much did she endure? Tell me, Bianca. How the hell am I supposed to settle this score with you?”
“Theo, I did it because I loved you too much! Now that Clarisse has divorced you, we can be a happy family now–you, me, and the baby! I’m the one who’s right for you!” she cried, clinging to whatever scraps of hope she had left
Chapter 13
Theodore looked at her as if she were filth. With a shove, he flung her to the floor like she was nothing.
Then, he called out to the bodyguards, “Take her to the pool.”
