Chapter 30
Obviously, Sabrina had shown up uninvited as well. She stood there with her slightly protruding belly with a smile plastered on her face.
Noelle knew that she wasn’t harboring any good intentions.
Ever since Sabrina had gotten pregnant, her entourage had grown considerably. She even traveled with
two bodyguards now.
She had the bodyguards place her gift in the reception hall. Then, she looked at Noelle with a sickly sweet
smile.
Noelle knew better than to be rude to someone putting on a friendly front, so she forced a smile and said, “Your pregnancy is unstable. You shouldn’t be moving around so much.”
If something were to happen to Sabrina at the Spencer residence, Yasmine would likely tear the place apart. After all, this woman was trouble wherever she went.
Sabrina narrowed her eyes and sized Noelle up. Although she was smiling on the surface, her gaze was cold. She chirped, “I just wanted to congratulate you on moving on from being a widow so quickly and remarrying. How wonderful!”
Sabrina’s sarcastic tone made it clear what she was implying.
Noelle gave a cold smile. The grief from losing a husband required actually losing one, and since Conner
was alive and well, what grief was there to speak of?
Nevertheless, she had no intention of announcing this truth to the world. Since Conner had the capability
to pull such a stunt, she’d use this opportunity to leave him for good. Besides, keeping this secret would
always be more powerful than exposing it.
Since Sabrina wanted to mock her, Noelle played along and shrugged. “What choice do I have? He’s dead, so I have to live my own life.”
Sabrina glanced around and saw that all the guests were at their tables. Then, she moved closer to Noelle and whispered, “As long as you understand that, don’t go chasing after Caleb anymore.”
Mary, who had been mingling with guests, immediately tensed up when she saw Sabrina move closer to
Noelle.
She worriedly looked toward them, but Noelle raised her hand slightly to signal that she was fine. Then, she turned back to Sabrina in confusion.
What on earth was she up to now?
Noelle then asked, “I’ve returned to the Spencer family, and I’m even getting remarried. Why would you

still think I’m pestering him?”
Sabrina coldly snorted, and the fake smile that had been on her face just moments ago completely disappeared. When it came to this topic, she couldn’t hide the anger and disgust on her face.
She hissed, “If you weren’t pestering him, why would he call out your name at night? If you weren’t seducing him, why would he go out drinking every single night? You must have used some kind of
enchantment on him, you slut!”

Sabrina furiously glared at Noelle, as if she wanted to tear her apart. She continued, “Do you think you can do such disgusting things just because you’re somewhat pretty? Believe me, I’ll have someone slash that face of yours!”
Upon looking at Sabrina’s vicious expression, Noelle completely believed that she was capable of such a thing.
At that moment, a chill ran down her spine, and cold dread spread throughout her body. She frowned and stated once more, “I didn’t seduce Caleb. If you have evidence, then present it.”
Of course, Sabrina couldn’t produce any evidence. However, she’d been deeply aware that Caleb was behaving differently these days.
He was going out drinking every night, and when he came home drunk, he’d shout Noelle’s name. It drove Sabrina to the brink of madness, and naturally, she was convinced that Noelle was actively seducing him.
When she couldn’t produce evidence, Sabrina suddenly put on a pitiful and pleading look. “You’re getting married too, and I heard the Spencer family is marrying you off for money to fund Mr. Spencer’s case.
“I know you’re having a hard time… Can’t we women look out for each other? I’ve saved up some money over the years at the Ashford family, and I’ll give it all to you if you just stop interfering with Caleb and me.” As she spoke, she grabbed Noelle’s hand and refused to let go.
