Praying For Her Love 9

Chapter 9

Damon rushed in and pulled May off of me immediately.

She struggled for a bit, but when she turned around and saw who it was, she sneered.

“Well, well, Julia. It hasn’t even been that long, and you’ve already found someone new?”

Her mocking gaze swept over me and Damon before she yelled loudly, “I told Randell long ago that you never really cared about him, and yet he didn’t believe me! Look at you now! You’ve already got someone standing up for you after such a short amount of time! This is who you really are!”

Damon frowned and planted himself in front of me. “Please watch what you say. This is a place for children to learn. If you want to cause a scene, you’re free to do it elsewhere. Don’t scare the children,” he said in a low voice.

May froze for a bit before she quickly regained her composure. Her expression was dripping with disdain. as she scoffed. “Who are you to her? Who gave you the right to tell me to watch what I say?”

I ignored her craziness. I merely held Finley and the other children close as I reassured them softly, “Don’t

worry, I’m here. Everything’s going to be fine.”

May stared at us. Then, as if she couldn’t hold it in any longer, she flung her arms out and screamed at the

top of her voice, “Do you think you’ve won, Julia? You’ve ruined me, but I won’t let you get away with it so easily!”

Just as Damon was shielding me while I calmed the children, another set of footsteps could be heard hurrying into the studio.

“Jules!” A familiar voice, filled with unbridled emotions, rang out. 2

I raised my head in time to see Randell appear at the door. He rushed in, his gaze locked on me as if he

were afraid that I’d disappear the very next second.

His expression looked complicated. There were signs of joy, regret, and even a deep sense of remorse.

“You’re still alive. Thank goodness…” he mumbled with a voice so hoarse it sounded like someone had

taken a sandpaper to his throat.

And in that instant, it seemed like all strength had drained from him.

When May saw this, a flash of calculation crossed her eyes. She deliberately waddled over to Randell, and her tone was aggrieved as she said, “Randy, she hit me! I only wanted to ask why she framed me so badly, but she humiliated me instead…”

“Randy, look at me… I’m pregnant, and she’s still so cruel to me…” she continued with a sob.

I stared at the two of them coldly. It was like I had suddenly returned to the past, and all those memories of being neglected and sidelined suddenly flooded into my mind.

But this time, I held myself steady. I took a deep breath and said calmly, “You both should leave. You’re

not welcome here.”

Randell, however, paid no attention to May. His gaze remained fixed on me as he pleaded, “Jules, please listen to me. I truly regret everything. It was my fault. I didn’t cherish you. Please, give me a chance.”

“A chance?” I scoffed, my gaze icy. “Randell, do you still think you have the right to ask me for a chance?”

“I know I’ve made mistakes. I shouldn’t have neglected you. I shouldn’t have trusted others. I was the one who made all the mistakes. I’m willing to change. Please forgive me.”

His voice dropped even lower, sounding as if he were begging. “I’ll do anything as long as you’ll forgive me.” [

May’s expression turned stormy. “Randy, you said you’d only love me. You-

“Enough!” Randy interrupted her coldly, his eyes filled with an iciness never seen before.

“I’ve made myself clear a long time ago. I don’t care what you say. It has nothing to do with me anymore.”

May looked like she had just been slapped, and all color instantly drained from her face. She yelled indignantly, “Randy! You can’t treat me like this! Have you forgotten everything that’s happened between us? Also, do you know that she’s already gotten together with someone else?”
