Felicity was completely stunned. “…Why would my dad show up here?”
Leo’s assistant answered crisply, “We called Victor Thompson to Sky Pastures Ranch. Mr. Damien and Mr. Vaughn both got disciplined by their fathers, so naturally, you need your own dad to set you straight.”
As they spoke, Victor Thompson himself arrived.
Selene was taken aback; Leo’s efficiency was almost frightening. It had barely been half an hour since the incident, and the moment he’d learned Altair was in danger, Leo had issued orders for punishment without hesitation.
Victor hurried in, only to be greeted by the sight of Harrison getting lashed across the palms.
He caught a glimpse of blood smeared on the cane, and a shudder ran through him. On his way over, Victor had already been briefed by Leo’s men: Felicity had pushed
Leo’s son down a hillside.
The news had left Victor nearly paralyzed with fear.
Leo’s assistant stepped forward, and Victor, not seeing his daughter, asked in a trembling voice, “Is my daughter… is she still alive?”
The assistant handed Victor the cane. “Miss Felicity was the main culprit behind Miss Selene and young Mr. Altair tumbling down the hill. Please, Mr. Thompson, strike Miss Felicity’s palms fifty times.”
The words sent a jolt of terror through Felicity, who was still slumped at the bottom of the slope.
Harrison’s hands had already been whipped thirty times and were bleeding.
If she had to take fifty, wouldn’t her hands be ruined?
“These are my racing hands! I’ve got a bike race next week! I can’t afford to get hurt!”
Harrison, one of the sponsors for the international race in Capital City, had pulled strings to get Felicity a spot in the exhibition match.
Victor knew all too well that his daughter was wild and reckless, always hanging out with the guys, but at least she’d managed to make a name for herself.

No matter what place she took, as long as Felicity could show her face in that exhibition, she’d have a shot at making it big in Capital City’s racing scene.
Victor gazed helplessly at Leo’s assistant. He couldn’t bear to end his daughter’s racing career then and there.
“Can’t I hit somewhere else?” he pleaded.
The assistant replied, “You may choose another area, Mr. Thompson.”
Victor strode toward Felicity, barking, “You little troublemaker! Pick where you want to be punished!”
Felicity hesitated, glancing back over her shoulder with deep reluctance. Her pants were thick–maybe that would help.
She turned to Victor. “How about… my backside?”
With Leo involved, Felicity knew there was no escaping this punishment.
Victor hauled her up from the slope and, gripping the cane, began to strike her
backside.
As the blows fell, Victor’s voice thundered, “You little brat! How dare you risk the Vaughn boy’s life? Are you out of your mind?!”
Leo’s assistant stood nearby, counting each strike. Whenever Victor’s hand faltered or he went too easy, the assistant would call out the last number again, making it clear there’d be no mercy.
Victor got the message–he couldn’t afford to go soft. The cane landed harder with
each strike.
“AHHH!!”
“Not so hard! Not so hard!”
Felicity twisted and writhed like an octopus on a hot skillet, her face beet red from the pain.
A crowd watched, including the supervising teacher, who felt nothing but satisfaction seeing Felicity finally get what she deserved.
Quentin, catching Felicity’s howls, couldn’t hide a sly, delighted smile.
“Feeling better now?” Harrison’s voice murmured at Selene’s ear. She looked up at the man’s face, dark as thunder.
Felicity and Dames had messed up, and Harrison was being punished too. He was

bitter about it, but in front of Leo, he didn’t dare show a hint of protest.
Selene scoffed, “You reap what you sow.”
Harrison shot back, “Maybe you should ask yourself why Felicity went after you in the first place.”
Selene’s eyes widened as she glanced at her ex–husband. “Harrison, you really are a piece of work. You and Felicity are like two peas in a pod–bottom–feeders in the same swamp!”
“You!” Harrison was stunned. When had Selene learned to be so sharp–tongued? For seven years as Mrs. Vaughn, she’d always been gentle and accommodating. Was it all just an act?
Selene had no interest in arguing further. She strode toward the security officer in plainclothes.
“Could I speak with Dr. Vaughn for a moment?”
The officer unlocked his tablet.
Selene spoke to Leo, “You don’t really understand Felicity. She’s tougher than nails. Even if you broke her legs, she wouldn’t learn her lesson.”
Leo asked, “Then how would you punish her?”
Selene glanced at Harrison. “I’d like Mr. Vaughn’s help.”
“Harrison, come here.”
Leo’s command made Harrison stiffen. He approached the tablet, face drawn, moving like a robot, not daring to defy Leo at all.
Standing before the screen, Selene said, “I want Mr. Vaughn to record Felicity’s punishment and send the video to your Capital Circle group chat. And during the recording, Felicity needs to apologize to both Altair and me.”
She fixed Felicity with a cold look. But even that wasn’t enough.
“If she so much as utters a single word or makes a single sound that sounds sarcastic or insincere, she’ll have to record the whole punishment and apology all over again!”
“AHHH!” Felicity was screaming inside, unable to utter a word under Victor’s relentless blows.
Women really are the most vicious, she thought bitterly.

If a video like that got posted in the Capital Circle group, what would her friends
think of her?
