The competition was still going on, but online had already exploded into chaos.
Voice of Heaven was already hugely popular with tons of people following it.
Those watching the livestream were just part of the audience–way more people who didn’t have time to watch live were checking out the edited clips. So their previous impression of contestant Elena was that she’d been amazing in round one but pretty mediocre in round two.
Now, because of the trending topics online and the readily available HD videos from Cavendish Entertainment’s official site of the first two rounds, everyone was flocking to watch.
If the livestream discussions were the first wave of buzz, this was the second wave.
And this wave spread way further and hit way harder.
People who had time to watch livestreams all the way through were rare–most folks had their own shit to deal with, so way more people waited for the edited versions.
The more people who watched, the bigger the buzz got:
“Holy shit, she’s incredible!”
“Yeah, I always watched the edited versions. In round two, all the contestants‘ quality improved, so I thought everyone had been hiding their skills in round one and she just got lucky. Turns out she was being suppressed.”
“Especially in round two, her song wasn’t as technically flashy as the other contestants‘, plus with the
suppression, it looked totally ordinary.”
“I only voted for her because her songwriting was decent, gave all my other votes to other people. Who would’ve thought?”
“So who the hell did this? I don’t buy this ‘technical malfunction‘ bullshit. Investigate, they need to investigate this thoroughly!”
“Support a full investigation!”

Vivian’s side immediately got swarmed.
Tons of people were demanding answers, wanting her to give a reasonable explanation.
All of this had Vivian completely overwhelmed.
Thank god she could still use being in the middle of a live broadcast as an excuse not to respond–at least that bought her some time.
Meanwhile.
In the apartment complex.
Se7ven and Harper high–fived each other.
“Hahaha, this feels so good! I finally got that weight off my chest!” Se7ven jumped up. “Before this, a whole bunch of people were attacking me. Look, now they’re all apologizing to me!”
“Yeah, some people even screenshotted your original comments and are posting them now, hahaha. It’s hilarious,” Harper nodded.
Se7ven was also surprised that even though his comments had been reported and deleted quickly back then, some quick–fingered people had still managed to screenshot them.
Now everything had become evidence.
“But I bet most of the people who were bashing me before and supporting me now aren’t the same
crowd,” Se7ven said suspiciously.
Harper just laughed. “Anyway, clearing your name now is the best outcome.”
“Yes!” Se7ven stood up and started doing some anime victory dance in the living room.
And damn, even though he was a total nerd, he was pretty nimble for a big guy.
Harper was laughing so hard she couldn’t close her mouth.
James Rodriguez, who’d been sitting in another chair without anyone noticing, was also smiling.
At the Voice of Heaven venue.
In Amelia’s dressing room, Louie was watching the situation develop favorably and felt very satisfied.

Amelia, on the other hand, was completely calm.
She looked thoughtfully at Vivian, who had returned to her judge’s seat on the livestream.
Since she was back in her seat, that meant they’d already figured out their counterstrategy.
Next, it would be interesting to see how Vivian would respond.
After all, the marketing team behind Vivian wasn’t playing around.
Sure enough, after a while, Amelia saw different voices appearing online.
“Why is everyone targeting Vivian? Our Vivian isn’t even a contestant, how does this involve her?”
“Right, Vivian’s a judge. Is everyone pointing fingers in the wrong direction?”
“People keep saying Vivian has Nathan backing her so she could target Elena. Why doesn’t anyone think about Nathan and Cavendish Entertainment… If Vivian really used Nathan’s influence, Elena would’ve been eliminated from the start without leaving any trace.”
“It must be someone else who did it and is pinning it on our Vivian.”
This wave directly attacked the logical chain.
Since many netizens didn’t know the inside details, for a moment this reasoning seemed pretty solid.
Se7ven and Harper actively responded, listing various evidence.
All of this had been planned in advance. Before long, public opinion was pulled back.
After all, besides Vivian, literally no one else had reason to target Elena from the very beginning.
This was ironclad.
Online, music industry influencers were already analyzing contestant Elena’s stages from more professional angles.
Every single one was full of praise.
The online buzz kept growing,
Seeing all this, Vivian was grinding her teeth to dust.

Chapter 84
Since Owen’s team had been working with her, she’d never taken such a beating.
Even when dealing with Amelia before, she’d always had easy control.
This was just some nobody Elena, and she was causing this much trouble!
But she couldn’t show it on camera, so she just gestured with her eyes not to film her, then looked down and quickly messaged Sebastian and Owen.
But Sebastian was dealing with his own problems now and couldn’t be bothered with her.
Owen suggested she expose some dirt on Elena.
Like her relationship with Louie, or her miscarriage for Louie.
But Vivian shot that down.
“That’s a killer move–I need to save it to control her.”
“Plus, her being suppressed is basically confirmed. Releasing this stuff now would seriously reduce the damage this bombshell could do. Netizens would think we’re deliberately framing Elena. Not only wouldn’t they believe it, we’d waste this leverage and it might even backfire on me.”
Owen agreed, but what were they supposed to do now?
“First I need to clear my name and stabilize my public image, then we can continue,” Vivian replied quickly.
“Let me think of something. Wait for my signal,” Vivian thought for a moment and replied to Owen.
Vivian glanced at Elena’s dressing room, her eyes full of hatred.
Then she opened Sebastian’s chat again, but he still wasn’t responding.
Furious, Vivian left her seat and went to the staff corridor to call Eddie,
Eddie picked up quickly.
“Miss Hope?” Eddie’s voice came through.
“Eddie, I need your help with something,” Vivian said weakly. “I don’t know if you’ve seen what’s happening online.”

Eddie said he had.
“Sigh… I don’t know who did it either,” Vivian said hypocritically. “But now they’re blaming everything on
me.”
“I remember Harrison Group has some involvement in the entertainment industry, right? You should have that kind of influence. Do you think I could borrow some help from you guys?”
Before this, Vivian had only been name–dropping and sing Nathan’s reputation to get things done. She’d actually been using Owen’s team for everything real. This was the first time she was asking Harrison Group for actual help.
After all, once they got mixed up together, her public image would have flaws, and since many things couldn’t be foolproof, she was also worried about her secrets being exposed.
But this time, she had no choice.
It was all Elena’s fault!
Elena was the one who’d pushed her to this point!
