Chapter 7

She smiled brightly, “Handsome, you look familiar. Have I seen you somewhere before?”

She wasn’t making it up. In fact, she was serious when asking him this.

She had indeed seen him somewhere before, but she couldn’t remember.

Finding her so annoying, Erasmo felt a headache coming on.

He frowned, loosened his grip, and said impatiently, “What do you want?”

“I wanna be your girlfriend.”

She grabbed his tie, pulled him closer to her till their faces were only centimeters away, and continued, “I’m three, healthy, got a little savings, and can be either classy or handy on different occasions.

“I don’t have any bad habits, and I dote on my boyfriend and will never cheat on him…”

A cold glint flashed across Erasmo’s deep eyes as he stared at her lips which kept moving. “Shut up!” finally, he snapped.

Since she wouldn’t let go of his tie, he simply yanked it off and shoved it into her hand.

As he stood up impatiently, she realized how tall he was.

She was 1.65 meters tall in high heels, yet she barely reached his shoulders.

“Let’s skip all unnecessary steps. See you at the city hall at ten tomorrow morning.”

Erasmo looked down at her with one hand in his pocket.

She was stunned.

The city hall?

Was he asking her to marry him?

She asked, “Are you serious?”

“You’ll know by tomorrow,” he replied.

Her red hair made him frown.

Then he added, “You better change the color of your hair if you

ant to look better in our wedding photo.”

She froze, still having a hard time processing what had just happened.

After what felt like an eternity, Maya came

touchable.

“You’re brave enough just to stand in front of him…”

Nevaeh raised his tie and said flatly, “He wants to marry me tomorrow morning.”

An eerie silence filled the air.

Then Maya said tentatively, “Did you add him on WhatsApp?”

Nevaeh shook her head.

“What’s his name then? With so many bodyguards, I bet he’s a bigwig. I’ll look it up…”

Nevaeh shook her head again.

She didn’t have any information about that silver-haired man.

Even Maya, who had seen it all in dating, had never been in such a situation.

“Sorry, ladies. Could you step aside? We gotta clean the area,” just then, a waiter said politely.

Nevaeh suddenly had an idea and asked him, “Do you know the man who sat here earlier?”

“I’m sorry. We’re not at liberty to disclose guests’ privacy.”

Hearing this, Maya pulled out a stack of cash, stuffed it into his hand, and smiled charmingly, “We were just curious.”

Since he wouldn’t take it, she took out more cash.

Genuinely frightened, he staggered back a few times. “Ma’am, please don’t make things hard for me. Over my head body will I dare to reveal any information about formidable figures like him.”

He had already said enough.

Maya and Nevaeh went back to their booth in silence.

After paying the eight male escorts, Maya told them they could leave.

Then she sat next to Nevaeh, looking grim. “What should we do now?”

Nevaeh folded the tie, put it in her bag, and pouted.

“Who said I’m gonna marry him anyway? He’s so weird.

“I’ll give him the tie back tomorrow. I want nothing to do with people like him.”

Early the next morning, Nevaeh’s phone kept ringing as she received WhatsApp messages one after another.

Nevaeh was already miserable from her hangover, and the sharp ringtone further gave her a splitting headache.
