Conner struggled to compose himself. “I’ll find someone to reach out to Dr. Brown. Maybe we don’t need
Noelle!”
“Good! Go, hurry up! If it’s anything money can solve, we’ll pay any amount. We absolutely have to save this baby!” Yasmine cried.
However, they were thinking too simply about the situation.
Dalton had a reputation in their circles not just because of his skill, but also because he was notoriously
difficult to reach. Conner had tried several layers of his connections but couldn’t even meet Dalton, let-
alone convince him to take the case.
With time running out, he desperately called Noelle multiple times. However, all his calls were rejected, and eventually, his number was blocked entirely.
Meanwhile, outside the operating room, Yasmine was livid. One moment, she was cursing Noelle for
daring to defy the Ashford family’s wishes. Then at the next, she was raging about Dalton being too
arrogant.
Her outburst went on for so long that medical staff became too afraid to approach her.
Only Conner’s intervention finally calmed her down. “Mom, we don’t have time for this!”
All the while, Sabrina’s cries of pain echoed from inside the emergency room, sending shivers through the backs of everyone listening.
Conner’s mind raced as he suggested, “Mom, go to Ms. Stevens. She has a personal connection with Dr.
Brown.”
Yasmine’s first reaction was to refuse. “No way! You might as well kill me than make me go to her!”
Conner’s eyes reddened as he desperately tried to persuade Yasmine. “Mom, we’ve done everything we can. We can’t let personal grudges and pride ruin things.
“Ms. Stevens is a generous person, and if you apologize to her, she’ll definitely help our family!” He added, “This child is still Ashford family blood, after all… Ms. Stevens won’t have the heart to refuse…”
Yasmine went from resistance and refusal to reluctantly accepting the situation.
The whole time, her resentment toward Noelle only grew.
She blamed her for Sabrina’s condition. If Sabrina hadn’t gotten hurt, she wouldn’t have been forced to bow her head to an old rival.
It was all Noelle’s fault! Everything was her doing!
Meanwhile on the hospital bed, Sabrina’s face was ashen as her delicate hands gripped the sheets, her voice hoarse from screaming in pain.

She looked at Conner as sweat beaded on her forehead. In a surprised tone, she said, “Did Yasmine really go find Ms. Stevens?”
“Yes, she’s already left,” Conner confirmed.
Sabrina’s pain didn’t dull her shock.
Years ago, Yasmine had stolen Kendra Stevens‘ fiancé and married into the Ashford family. Back then, she had been so triumphant that she’d refused to even apologize to Kendra. She’d even twisted the
narrative and claimed herself to be the “true soulmate.”
Kendra had been tormented by that situation for a long time and had even fallen ill because of it.
However, she’d eventually moved on and married a gentle surgeon.
If Yasmine went to Kendra now without an apology, Kendra surely wouldn’t acknowledge her. But if
Yasmine did apologize, it would mean that the once–proud and magnificent Yasmine had been forced to completely humble herself and admit that being a mistress was wrong.
Even while in excruciating pain, Sabrina still wanted to use this opportunity to attack Noelle.
She looked at Conner and pitifully mumbled, “Honey, Yasmine’s really sacrificed so much for me. I’m truly grateful to her… but I hate Noelle even more.
“How could she do something so vicious? She just doesn’t want the Ashford family to have peace. She’s
a psychopath!” She clung to Conner’s chest, sobbing harder. “If anything happens to our baby, I’ll never forgive her!”
