The other guests might’ve been puzzled, but Yasmine understood perfectly what Noelle meant. Her chest tightened as she wondered if Noelle had found out about Conner faking his death to impersonate Caleb.
Only now did Yasmine’s face show an expression other than smugness. At first, she felt a bit panicked. However, years of experience had taught her well, especially since she had weathered many storms.
So what if Noelle knew about it? Even if she told other people, Yasmine doubted anyone would believe
her.
This thought steadied her nerves, and the panic soon vanished from her face.
Still, knowing Noelle was no longer easy to manipulate, she turned her gaze toward Mary. Thankfully, there were always softer targets.
“Look at the daughter you raised, spouting nonsense about ‘knocking up someone else‘. How vulgar can
she get?” she spat.
Upon seeing Yasmine pick the easy target, Noelle bit her lip so hard she nearly drew blood.
Having been pushed to the limit, Mary’s vision went black, and she fainted.
At that moment, Noelle decided that she was done showing any mercy. After getting their closer relatives
to help Mary back to her room, she looked straight at Yasmine.
“A younger brother impersonating his older brother and getting his sister–in–law pregnant… And I’m the vulgar one?”
The moment those words left Noelle’s mouth, the entire room erupted in shocked murmurs. Yasmine’s
face turned a dark, ugly shade too.
Nevertheless, she still forced herself to stay level–headed. Then, she shrieked, “Nonsense! You’re
slandering and defaming the Ashford family! You’re the type who burns bridges after crossing them. What kind of person acts like this?”
No one knew if the claim about the brothers was true, but the whispers wouldn’t stop. If it was indeed
true, it was a scandal of the worst kind.
Noelle knew that the fallout would hit her too since she had once been part of the Ashford family, but Yasmine’s cruelty left her no choice.
It was one thing for Yasmine to bully her, but what Noelle couldn’t stand was how Yasmine knew she couldn’t be easily bullied, so she redirected her anger to Mary.
That was going too far.
“If you feel wronged, we can always call your son over for a confrontation. How does that sound?”
Noelle’s attitude was so straightforward that it made it hard for others not to believe what she was saying.

The guests‘ voices of condemnation grew louder, and Yasmine’s face went stiff in embarrassment.
Someone said, “Exactly! If Noelle’s lying, why not meet up? If it’s something this serious, it would be better
to clear things up, right?”
Yasmine didn’t know how to handle the situation once the murmurs erupted again, so she simply
slammed her hand down and stood up.
Her goal had been achieved anyway, and everyone now knew that Noelle couldn’t have children. Hence,
there was no need to explain her son’s situation. She just had to deny everything to the end.
She got up and said, “It’s bad enough that you’re causing trouble, but now you’re inciting them to join in
too! You have absolutely no class.
“Anyway, I’ve said my piece. If you ever get jealous of Sabrina again or harm the Ashford family’s bloodline, I won’t let you get away with it!”
