Noelle was at a loss. She didn’t know how to comfort him, so she asked gently, “Do you feel very sick?”
Her gentle demeanor made Sebastian tear up more. His voice cracked when he replied, “No.”
Noelle leaned in closer and said with a frown, “Stop acting tough. Even your voice is turning hoarse. You
should take a bath first. Where’s the first–aid kit? I’ll get you some medicine.”
Sebastian pulled her into his arms without thinking.
“Don’t go,” he said. He didn’t need medicine when he had Noelle.
Noelle was stunned for a while. She only returned to her senses when she noticed her clothes got soaked
too.
Sebastian’s body was searing, the heat seeped into her body. Her hands were still stuck mid–air.
Sebastian buried his face in the crook of her neck, sounding gentler than usual. “I want you to stay with
me.”
Noelle blinked in shock. He must have a high fever. Otherwise, he never would have said something like
that.
“Hold me, Noelle,” Sebastian said.
Chapter 53
Noelle slowly lowered her hands onto Sebastian’s waist. She could feel the curve of his body through his wet dress shirt. For a moment, she felt the most perfect oil painting beneath her fingertips.
That was right. Sebastian’s waistline was a work of art.
His body heat burned into Noelle’s palms. The warmth was intoxicating. She couldn’t even stop to think that what they were doing was highly inappropriate.
Sebastian led her on. “Do you want to take a bath with me?”
Noelle buried her face into Sebastian’s chest and blushed. Her throat felt so dry that she couldn’t bring
herself to speak.
Sebastian rephrased his question, “I want to take a bath with you.”
Noelle looked up in surprise and forced a question out. “Why? Are you worried you might slip and fall?”
Sebastian smirked imperceptibly. She had given him the perfect excuse.
Noelle was just joking, so she was stunned when Sebastian took her words seriously and nodded. “That’s right. I’m worried I might slip and fall in the middle of my bath. Now that I’ve caught a cold, it would be disastrous if I passed out in the bathroom.”
His tone even sounded pitiful. Coupled with his stern, handsome face, Noelle couldn’t help but find it
uncharacteristically cute.
Noelle knew that if she stayed in the bathroom any longer, something terrible would happen. Her mind was screaming at her to get away until Sebastian asked, “Will you stay?”
Under his burning gaze, Noelle couldn’t bring herself to leave. Instead, she nodded as though she was possessed and entwined her hand with Sebastian’s.
Sebastian leaned in and pressed his wet lips against Noelle’s. He savoured the softness of Noelle’s lips
against his.
It was the softest peck, but Sebastian was too scared to go further, so he kept the kiss chaste.
Noelle’s vision blurred as her eyes teared up, clouding her vision.
Sebastian was drunk on the look in her eyes. He pressed a finger against her lips and said in a deep voice, “You said you would, so stay.”
His words echoed in the room. Noelle looked up into Sebastian’s eyes and found that his eyes were smiling. It was extremely tempting.
She hummed in acknowledgement, but her throat was so dry that she wasn’t sure if she did.
The warm lighting in the bathroom was just right. The temperature and atmosphere were perfect. They

Sebastian’s fingers trailed down to grab her chin. Then, as if giving Noelle her last chance to escape, he reminded her, “There’s no stopping after we begin.
Noelle had always been a calm person, but Sebastian’s repeated questioning wounded her pride. Did he think she was scared? What was there for her to be scared of?
And so Noelle had to shoot back, “The more you ask, the more you’ll make me think that you just can’t get
it up.”
