The entire conference room went dead silent.
Everyone who’d been waiting to watch Louie crash and burn was completely stunned.
The other two Cavendish brothers glared at Lester with furrowed brows.
Sebastian couldn’t help himself: “Lester, are you sure about this? Did you run this by your brother?”
Louie snapped out of his shock and shot Sebastian a vicious look: “Shut the fuck up! Lester’s talking!”
Sebastian’s face was still healing from his beating, and his temper flared as he prepared to go at Louie.
But Lester cut in impatiently: “Whatever, I’m not confused. This is how it is. The Wessex family backs Elena. She doesn’t need to quit, and we only invested in ads because of Elena’s talent. If she drops out. what happens to our advertising?”
The eldest Cavendish brother exchanged a look with someone nearby, who got the hint and spoke up: “Lester, I heard you’re a fan who really likes this Elena. But fandom is one thing–business is war. You can’t just ignore your brother’s wishes and go rogue.”
Lester couldn’t take it anymore and slammed the table as he stood up.
“What do you mean ignore my brother and go rogue?” Lester towered over everyone. “Our family gets along great, and what I’m saying today is what all three of us decided together!”
“And…”
Lester’s gaze swept the room aggressively: “So what if admire Elena?”
“Today, I’m laying it out for everyone–1, Lester Wessex am backing Elena no matter what!”

commercial value.
Plus the three judges–Mars Santiago alone was on fire
Louie was absolutely floored.
But he knew this wasn’t the time to speak up.
Just as everyone was exchanging looks and silent communications, the Harrison Corp representative also
knocked on the table.
“Mr. Harrison’s instructions–I’m here today representing Harrison Corp to state our position. Elena doesn’t quit, Harrison Corp has no objections.”
Now everyone’s expressions really changed.
Not shock anymore, but deep thought.
New York’s three major powers were Harrison Corp, Cavendish Corp, and Wessex Corp. The Cavendish family infighting was severe–Louie could only represent a third of the family, with the other two–thirds
opposed.
But the other two giants? Wessex was firmly backing Elena, Harrison had no objections. This was getting interesting.
Was there something going on they didn’t know about?
“Mr. Harrison also asked me to deliver a message,” the Harrison Corp representative continued. “Any investor shares that get pulled out, Harrison Corp will absorb completely.”
“Hey!” Lester protested. “That’s my line! My brother said the same thing–Wessex family too!”
“However much there is, we’ll take it all!” Lester declared.
With this development, the various investor representatives started hesitating, calling their companies for updates and decisions.
First, the Wessex family hadn’t been sponsors for the st three episodes. Even if they valued Elena, it was because of episode three.

So the Wessex family was probably seeing Elena’s commercial value, plus Lester’s bit of fanboy
enthusiasm.
As for Nathan Harrison, first, he definitely wasn’t into lena romantically–everyone knew he’d been there for Vivian, and Elena was Louie’s person anyway
Second, the Harrison Corp representative seemed to want to absorb market share?
So really, they valued Elena and Voice of Heaven.

Amelia couldn’t figure it out.

Amelia voiced her thoughts.
Louie wiped the tears from his eyes, saying he totally diderstood.
“I was wondering how to tell you this–I’m confused too” Louie said, then pulled out a document and placed it on the table. “But I just got some intel,”

Amelia glanced at it–the content was similar to her method of using Vivian against herself from last night.
“Was there a problem? Did they reject it?” Amelia frowned,
But Louie just shook his head.
“This one was submitted by Harrison Corp,” Louie said,

Amelia didn’t get it.
“When our people went to submit the report this morning, they told us Harrison Corp had already protected the show before us.”
Louie tapped the document: “Our people got hold of th–Harrison Corp’s approach.”
“Plus some other stuff. Bottom line, the word is this show won’t suddenly disappear.”
Listening to Louie, Amelia’s brow furrowed deeper.

Louie handed Amelia another document.
“After episode three ended, Nathan’s people reached out, saying they wanted to compensate ‘Amor.“”
“Actually, forget compensation–his meaning was clear Hush money, to keep quiet about ‘Slight Love‘ not being written by Vivian.”
“I didn’t even think about it and refused,” Louie said. “This time, maybe he’s using this as a trade.”
Louie shrugged: “Or maybe he feels bad about going too far and really wants to compensate you.‘
