Chapter 82
The stage lighting synced perfectly with the masked mermaid’s singing, creating this incredible ocean–like
experience.
Meanwhile, Vivian was absolutely livid.
She wanted to call Sebastian again–having him mess with the audio quality was still the best option, especially since she knew Elena probably had even bigger guns to fire later.
But Sebastian clearly didn’t want to take her calls right now, or more likely, he was dealing with his own
shit.
So then….
Vivian thought for a second, then immediately texted Owen.
Online, as the livestream continued, it triggered a massive wave of heated discussions.
Right then, a new trending topic exploded: #Sudden Quality Change, Is There Capital Manipulation
Behind Elena#
It instantly caused a huge uproar.
After all, everyone had seen that video quality jump at the beginning.
“Yeah, Elena was totally mediocre in the first two live shows, then suddenly she’s this amazing? Something’s fishy.”
“Haven’t you guys noticed? Elena always gets high live votes but low online votes. The public isn’t stupid–you can’t fool everyone. Live audiences are different though.”
“Did they specifically boost Elena’s audio and video quality this time?”
“If that’s really what happened, that’s disgusting. A good music show turned into some nepotism bullshit!”
There were other voices mixed in, but they got drowned out by the massive wave of guided opinions.
On the other side, in the apartment complex, Se7ven and Harper were finally seeing their moment.

“This is it.” Seven said, typing rapidly. “Get ready. Now we launch our counterattack!”
They’d been setting fires everywhere before but saving their strength for this final blow.
Amelia had strategized with them that day. She’d carefully studied Vivian’s marketing team’s playbook and came up with several scenarios. After discussion, they’d settled on this one.
Of course there were backup plans, but this was the one that hit.
So just as the topic about Elena being industry royalty was trending, another topic’s popularity exploded.
#Elena’s ‘Yesterday Once More Live Phone Recording Leaked#
It caused another massive uproar.
“Holy shit, I kept hearing from friends who went live that Elena’s performances were solid, but I didn’t expect them to be this solid! The visuals are incredible, and that violin solo–my god, I got goosebumps!”
“This is phone footage, not professional equipment, and it’s still this amazing. Imagine how good the proper audio must be!”
“Person above, I was at that live show. I can tell everyone that Elena’s live votes were totally deserved!”
“I was there live too. I didn’t dare say anything before, but today’s quality is what Elena’s audio and video should normally be. I suspect someone was sabotaging her before.”
Suddenly, everyone was talking.
A little while later, another video went up.
#Elena’s ‘Us‘ Live Phone Recording Leaked#
This one hit even harder. If ‘Yesterday Once More‘ might have stood out with flashy styling and a show–stopping violin solo, ‘Us‘ was completely different–pure emotional devastation.
Soft rock style, perfectly calibrated sadness, intense storytelling that just swept over you.
Everyone was blown away.
These two videos dropped back–to–back, less than thirty seconds apart.
At the Voice of Heaven venue, Vivian watched the situation rapidly spiral and was shaking with rage.

Meanwhile, on stage, the masked mermaid had reached the second half of her song.
As the scale kept climbing, her voice went from low humming to ethereal, then kept spiraling upward, swirling around in listeners‘ heads with this goddess–like quality.
Her voice soared without breaking, just pure ethereal beauty.
As the song reached its climax, the scale actually hit G6. The live tidal effects made it seem like the mermaid had completed her final transformation into the true ruler of the ocean.
Nobody in the venue made a sound.
Everyone was stunned.
After about thirty seconds, explosive applause finally erupted.
Amelia looked out at the live audience and bowed deeply.
This was the song she’d specifically prepared for this round.
After learning Harper had gotten Karen’s phone, she knew it was almost time.
She needed to stage a comeback, and this song was the perfect choice.
How could she make online audiences feel the contrast most quickly?
High notes. In–your–face high notes were the most direct impact.
This song combined both story and technique, directly breaking through the suppression from the first
two rounds.
Even if something went wrong with Louie’s team this time, it wouldn’t matter, because even the most blurry livestream would still capture her real technical skills.
She had to guarantee success.
As Amelia straightened up, she felt someone’s gaze lingering on her.
She looked over–it was Nathan.
In just those few minutes, Nathan’s emotions had become inexplicably complicated.
He watched the masked woman on stage, and for some reason, it felt like he was watching Amelia

standing there.
Listening to her voice, to the story the song told, he randomly thought of Amelia’s face.
All those moments they’d shared together, and that last time they’d met, when she’d rejected him.
Something seemed to have changed about Amelia.
But he couldn’t figure out what.
After the performance ended, he joined in the applause with everyone else.
Even though he knew the masked woman in front of him wasn’t Amelia, but Louie’s woman.
Still, her skill and talent deserved his applause.
Near him, Lester was practically howling like a monkey.
“Bro, did you hear that? Holy shit, that was incredible!”
“Thank god we came to see this live–the audio outside definitely can’t match what we heard here. So amazing, so worth the trip!”
Arthur, who’d been getting shaken around by Lester the whole time, also clapped and gave a quiet “mm”
of agreement.
After this performance, everyone in the venue except Vivian felt nothing but pure admiration.
Amelia just glanced at Nathan and looked away, then saw Sunny at the stage edge nodding and clapping enthusiastically. She knew Louie’s team had succeeded
Everything had fallen into place perfectly.
With that, this round was a complete success, and Amelia slowly exited the stage.
Louie came rushing from backstage to meet her.
“How’d it go?” Amelia asked with a smile.
“Fantastic!” Louie laughed heartily. He’d just punched Sebastian and was feeling great. He helped Amelia with her dress and supported her, saying, “Everything under control.”
Louie was extremely pleased. He and Amelia had lifted each other up–this was their shared victory.

“Now it’s up to the company’s marketing and Se7ven and Harper’s team.”
They looked at each other and smiled, understanding everything without words.
From the audience, Nathan watched these two in perfect sync and felt inexplicably jealous.
